Meet Our Speakers

Dr Ian Musgrave

Ian is a molecular pharmacologist/toxicologist who works at the University of Adelaide, Australia. He has a broad interest in the understanding of how surface receptors can modulate neuronal function and survival, as well as interests in natural product pharmacology and drug design. As well he is interested in evolutionary biology, science communication (committee member of SA Science Communicators) and an avid amateur astronomer.

Dr Tobias Loetscher

Toby is an NHMRC Dementia Research Leadership Fellow at UniSA. His research interests include the investigation of vision and attention-related aspects of dementia. He aims to understand how people at risk of dementia see and navigate the world and how this changes over time – with the prospects of translating the gained knowledge to the design of dementia-friendly environments and refinement of eye movement measures as a biomarker of cognitive decline.
